👉 Some reasons behind my choices:
So here we go again and this is the short story of my GW1 line-up. I was very happy with my team, I haven’t totched it for about a week! Today afternoon I decided to swap Mason Greenwood to Christian Pulisic, because Pulisic was reported to be fit and ready. Then I went to the swimming pool and when I came back the information about Armstrong injury appeared (from the very beginning I really wanted to have him instead of Saint-Maximin. So I started the thinkering once again and here we go, ASM is in my line-up 😂 I just couldn’t find any better replacement and that makes me angry that the plan I had for so long time, just got ruined… and I picked the player that I don’t actually want. I don’t feel so comfortable anymore and that probably caused I decided to switch back to Greenwood and save some cash in the bank. I just prefer to have a bit more flexibility after GW1. And one more thing, unfortunately I’m on the wedding this weekend so I won’t be able to provide any updates if any appear (e.g. after press conferences tomorrow). If I change my line-up I’ll let you know on my social media. And another thing is that I decided to give an armband to Mo Salah, although yesterday I did try to convince people that Aubameyang might be a better pick 😂 I just compared them in terms of HOME and AWAY results and it looks like they both perform a lot better at home. Below you can read what I wrote before I made those changes.
So here we go again. I’m super excited and very happy with my line-up. I haven’t changed it for a week what makes me sure I made the right choices. With one exception. Yesterday I decided to swap Mason Greenwood to Christian Pulisic. Both players are very exciting talents and for sure both of them will score a lot points over the season. But if Pulisic is fit (and it’s reported he is) he has GW1 game which is a key argument for me. Also Chelsea have a little bit better fixtures than Man Utd and what’s more he is even bigger differential then Greenwood. The second position I was thinking a lot is Lucas Digne. Before I swapped Greenwood to Pulisic I had 1.0 ITB so I was capable to have Robertson instead of Digne. But Everton have one of the best fixtures run (2nd best considering next 3 GW and 6th best considering next 5 GW) and I want to have their assets over this period. I believe that the transfers they have made will have an immediate impact on the team (considering how good coach Ancelotti is), so I expect less goals conceded and more scored. He is also a decent differential with ownership around 7%. The reasons behind Calvert-Lewin are quite the same, the presence of Allan, Doucoure & J.Rodriguez should provide him with more big chances, he just has to be more accurate and finish some of them (6,5% ownership is once again something that encourages me a lot). Stuart Armstrong is here because I want any Southampton cover and I can’t afford Danny Ings now (which I regret a lot). I admit I’m a little bit worried not to have Saint-Maxim (currently owned by >20%), but this might pay off. Although Newcastle have made some great additions to their line-up they’ll need time to make it working. In the mean time Southampton is the team as they were in the end of 19/20 (only lost Højbjerg to Spurs) and it was working well then. I rate Ralph Hasenhüttl very much so I believe he can even improve the Saints in this season. In 16/17 Armstrong scored 15 goals and 7 assists, so let’s gamble on him instead of ASM… The rest of my picks shouldn’t need any explanation 🤞
