this is my third of reports delivering weekly to all Fantasy Premier League fans. In this part I present you my 3 players choices for upcoming gameweek, which I believe can reward us with high returns.
First of them is a Captain – in my opinion the most important thing in FPL. You can do everything right, but if you fail with captain choice almost always the red arrows will appear next to your overall ranking postition. Basically this choice should and will be also my own choice for my team, but sometimes I just won’t have the best candidate in my line-up.
Second choice is a ‘secret weapon’, a player you should definitely consider to you line-up. This won’t be always big name, I’ll try to find someone who caught my eye in the past gameweeks but didn’t get reward, which means that points will come hopefully soon. This will be more long term choice rather than single gameweek ‘Ace’, someone with huge impact on his team, good numbers and decent fixtures.
Third choice is ‘niche’, a differential pick with overall ownership less than 5%. This should help you to differentiate your team form the template, also from your mini-league rivals and often turn your eye to someone who is worth having because of his points to price ratio.

This is my players selection for Fantasy Premier League Gameweek 30+:
- CAPTAIN – Sergio Aguero (Manchester City vs Arsenal & Burnley)
Sometimes instead of overthinking things, you just have to be very pragmatic, a boring one. It’s today. Sergio Aguero is one of the best forwards in the world, extremely explosive and able to score big against everyone. He is only 3 goals behind Vardy in golden boot race and I guess that – as always – he is tempted to win it. Arsenal defense was terrible before the lockdown and I really doubt they could have improved a lot in this period. I can imagine that an early goal scored by City could cut their wings down and bring back their worst defensive memories. Burnley is better defensively than Arsenal, but after the break all City players are fresh, so able to keep high tempo and intensity for 90 mins. This is what I think Burnley isn’t prepared to handle with. I expect at least 3 goals from Sergio in this two games and I’m happy to give him an armband because it was very rare when I had him in my line-up.
- 2. Secret weapon – Matt Doherty (Wolverhampton vs West Ham)
Remember him? Matt is back, definitely. He looks like he has got back to his best from previous season. He plays very offensive, he shots 2/3 times per game and also attempts assist, so his two consecutive double figure returns are no wonder. He is nailed, Wolves have an amazing run of fixtures (even until the end of the season). Definitely worth to put Matt in your squad until his ownership is still quite low (8,9%) and even for his relatively high price (6.3).
- 3. Niche – Nicolas Pépé (Arsenal vs Manchester City & Brighton) 5.0% ownership
Ok, I’m in a shock, 5,0% ownership before DGW? It makes me even more tempted! It’s kind of the gamble, but might hugely pay off! Since he became a starter his underlying stats are good and undoubtedly his skills are awesome. Until now he just didn’t convert his skills to goals and assists, but after 17 points haul vs Newcastle and another return a week later he might has unlocked himself. Arsenal has double gameweek now, and two really good fixtures then. If you are looking for a differential, here it is. It’s a no-brainer!
