How to read this google sheet?
As always right after gameweek I provide you updated dataset with basic data which I hope will be useful for upcoming weeks in Fantasy Premier League. Here’s the key how to cope with it:
FIXTURES – it’s a summary (aggregated sum) of upcoming fixtures difficulty for each team for next 3 gameweeks and for next 5 gameweeks. The difficulty of an opponent is counted based on: PL table rank, last 4 gameweeks form, home or away game, team value and my own FPL index of each team.
xG [expected goal] – it’s a summary (aggregated sum) of expected goals that will be scored by a team in upcoming 3 or 5 games. The number is counted based on: xG of a team, xGA of next opponents, home or away game. It’s beed divided for a number counted based on last 4 appearances and based on whole season (total).
xGA [expected goals against] – it’s a summary (aggregated sum) of expected goals against the team – that will be scored by opponents in upcoming 3 or 5 games. The number is counted based on: xGA of a team, xG of all opponents, home or away game. It’s beed divided for a number counted based on last 4 appearances and based on whole season (total).
Upcoming fixtures difficulty (next 5 gameweeks):
Eye catchers (best upcoming fixtures):
Los miserables (worst upcoming fixtures):
Below you will find a rank of teams from best to worst in each category (fixtures, xG, xGA):
This spreadsheet presents the same data as the previous one, but shows the specific numbers behind each rank position:
And below you will find predicted results for each game in upcoming gameweek. Remember it’s only a prediction based on historical data. Some events like an early red card can destroy the whole sense of analytics (like it was at St. Marys when Southampton lost 9-0 with Leicester).
